Riga Security Conference 2024 – Under Whose Umbrella? The Future Dilemmas of European Security
Thursday, 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
17 October 2024
As Europe navigates the profound challenges posed by the ongoing war in Ukraine and the broader global struggle between democracies and autocracies, the future of European security hangs in the balance. The Riga Security Conference 2024 will dive deep into these critical issues under the theme: “Under Whose Umbrella? The Future Dilemmas of European Security.”
With the outcome of Ukraine’s defense against Russia’s full-scale invasion poised to shape the continent’s stability, Europe finds itself increasingly in the crosshairs of global power struggles—spanning technological innovation, military power, and economic influence—against autocratic regimes such as China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea. In this context, European nations must foster deeper cooperation in security and defense, demonstrating collective strength to confront the pressing dilemmas that lie ahead.
