With over 25 years of professional and academic expertise in security and defense, Velina Tchakarova has established herself as a preeminent expert in geopolitics. Serving as a geopolitical strategist at her consultancy company FACE For A Conscious Experience, Velina capitalizes on her extensive network and hands-on experience to devise customized solutions that enable clients to navigate the intricate landscape of geopolitics adeptly. She offers invaluable insights, preparing clients to anticipate and strategically respond to potential risks and emerging trends in various geopolitical contexts, thereby fortifying their position within their respective industries. Her proficiency in scenario planning empowers businesses to confront future challenges with enhanced confidence and clarity. In 2024, Velina Tchakarova earned a certification in Mastering Foresight: Scenario-Based Planning from the George Washington University’s Center for Excellence in Public Leadership (GW-CEPL). Commencing this year, she will also conduct retreat workshops focused on strategic foresight and geopolitics for clients across public and private sectors.

Presently, Velina enriches the Scientific Advisory Board of the European Alpbach Forum and the Advisory Board of Eastern Circles with her insights. Her previous jobs as the Director of the Austrian Institute for European and Security Policy (AIES) in Vienna and lecturer at the Real-World Risk Institute are marked by profound contributions to understanding the geopolitical domain and its implications for various sectors.
