The Solution Club's Official Launch at the Vienna Hofburg

At the Solution Club's launch in the Vienna Hofburg, Velina identified Europe's two strategic prioritization trilemmas — between reindustrialization, military rearmament, and decarbonization.

In cooperation with the event series "Terra Humana," the Solution Club celebrated its official launch on 19 January at the Vienna Hofburg. The Solution Club positions itself as an interdisciplinary think movement and platform for constructive dialogue, connecting people from business, academia, and civil society to develop concrete answers to complex future challenges. The evening was moderated by co-founder Matthias Zacek (former Industry Head Google Austria), who, together with Paul Weichesmiller, aims to move beyond a mode of reactive crisis management through the creation of new alliances.

During the high-level discussion, geopolitical expert Velina Tchakarova and innovation strategist and lobby coach Wolfgang Lusak outlined a precise picture of Europe's current challenges. The central insight: Europe is facing not only a geo-economic tension field involving energy, markets, and security, but two profound and interconnected trilemmas.

Tchakarova first identified a structural trilemma: the simultaneous pursuit of reindustrialization, military rearmament, and decarbonization. As financial and industrial resources are limited, prioritizing any one objective generates significant opportunity costs. Without explicit prioritization, fragmentation threatens — leaving none of the goals substantially achieved.
